Chu Arranh. . .you mean this guy??? I think this qualifies as the first "log" on the forum, but if anyone has wandered around in Darkleaf Forest they are certain to see this, especially as the mud lags :-(

Mirschrank's ring gives infravision as far as I remember.
There are also two NPCs wandering the swamps in Darkleaf forest - Emre and Ildar, the undead elves. Emre has one of the best swords out there, and a nice dagger. Both are tough as hell.
Another great sword is wielded by Elrond in Rivendell. Shining ice-blue broadsword, which deals cold damage and can only be wielded by good aligned players.
Northwest from Esgorim you can find wastelands, where Romus has his hideout. He carries a sword that gives his user some bonus to speed in combat.

Correct i have found these guys also. I will try out the ring. It gives no clue when i try to identify it as a mage.
The undead out in the swamps are quite tough yes they are both grand master if i remember correctly.

The sword i think gives some swordskill if you are strong and wise enough.
The dagger i havent used enough to validate the quality.
The halberd from Ildar is quite nice, you can change your grip to one handed witch is quite uncommon for polearms.

Im not really satisfied with the layout of this page.
I think ill redo it and post a list of good weapons listed by types instead and then make a "boss" encounter list.
I think it will be more helpful.

Say you are looking for a good sword. You check the list of swords. Find out who has it and check the list of bosses to find them and tips on how to beat them.

I have seen him before and also got his gear, however I cant seem to find him again. Anyone know if there is something that needs to be done for him to be summoned?

Just some quick stuff I remember from the top of my head:

There is a skaven with the weeping blade (sword with poison, has a chance to poison wielder too)
Fade had some nice stuff (good sword I think), he can be found north of the road among the trollocs
In the eastern parts of Esgorim (where you enter lake, swim river or something like that to get to the other woods) there are some big guys and one of them has the cruel war-spear (great weapon, can be tied to the arm to prevent disarm)
Franz (I think that's how he's called), some knight in France has the golden trident, another great polearm.
